I have just turned thirty and completed my MA degree in Drama and Performance Studies. My passion is writing and performing and over the last few years I have been developing my skills as a playwright. My first play COMING UP ROSES was invited to the Hilton National Arts Festival and my second play REMEMBERING YOU LIKE SOMETHING I'D FORGOTTEN was developed in collaboration with British based New Writing Theatre Company WEAVER HUGHES ENSEMBLE, and received favourable reviews at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival 2007/2008. I am passionate about South African Theatre and the magical, mystical, mythical power of words and am trying to carve a niche for myself in this competitive, challenging and exciting field. I am inspired by universal themes of love, loss and memory which I have explored in my work thus far. I have lectured in Scriptwriting and Acting and taught drama at pre-school and primary level. I hope to write and perform more of my own work in the future.
